MPP Teresa Armstrong nominated as NDP candidate for London-Fanshawe

LONDON – MPP Teresa Armstrong was selected by New Democrats to be the Ontario NDP candidate for London-Fanshawe in the next election.

“I’m humbled to be trusted once again as your champion for our London-Fanshawe community,” said Armstrong. “You deserve a good life, with access to quality affordable health care, housing, and child care. New Democrats are working hard to make that happen, and I know together we can create a province to be proud of. Let’s do this”.

“I’m thrilled to have Teresa on our team again,” said Marit Stiles, Leader of the Ontario NDP. “She’s a proud Londoner and a tireless advocate for affordable child care across Ontario. Teresa’s fighting for us – now let’s fight for her.”

Background

  • Armstrong was first elected as an MPP in 2011, and currently serves as the Ontario NDP critic for Child Care and critic for Pensions.
  • Armstrong recently stood alongside workers to table legislation that would create a task force dedicated to supporting childcare workers and addressing the recruitment and retention crisis.
